We offer a wide variety of Wrought Iron Balcony styles and designs
Straight Custom Balcony
This is a solid wrought iron straight custom designed balcony guard rail and features many applications. It can be used as a second storey bedroom walkout, or a rear second floor walkout deck.
This was custom measured and fitted to the existing site conditions.
This guard rail must be 42 inches in height and non-climbable to comply with all O.B.C. requirements.
This also has a double bar detail with no decorations in the double bar, although it does have the 1 ¾ inch MCR decorative top rail.
The posts are 1 ½ inch x 1 ½ inch so that they are welded underneath the continuous top rail.
Note that that posts do not go through the top rail to give it a more linear appearance.
All pickets are custom forged ½ inch round (dowel). Some have a custom collar detail while others do not giving the railing a truly custom look.

Custom Portico Balcony
This is a custom portico top decorative rail system, which are usually built over the front door portico.
There is no height restriction according to OBC, but are usually built at 24” in height, depending on the height of the house. (i.e. the higher the house, the higher the rail)
There is a wide variety of designs to choose from. Per usual, clients try to match with the railings below, or deviate and opt for something completely different.
This type of rail system can really dress up the front of a brick or stone property.
Featured Balcony
Our client was very careful and exacting in terms of what they needed.
They lived in this rather old but very well kept property in a very interesting part of the city with an incredible view of the Humber River—a very secluded part of the city.
We have been back to this property on several occasions, and all for good reason.
In the first phase, we began with the second floor bedroom balcony. They requested something safe, sturdy, and long lasting –all in custom wrought iron, to fulfill existing O.B.C. requirement, and to create something that would not restrict their wonderful view of the river.
We started with the basic balcony, which is 42 inches and non climbable, and hot dipped galvanized. Then we added a double bar detail on top. The house was very old in design so we did not want to detract from the property’s beauty so we added very simple decorative spears in the double bar, so as not to impede their line of sight of the river and gave our clients the wrought iron they were looking for.
Needless to say, this worked out better than we initially planned.
We were called back after they had rebuilt their lower deck, and then again when they required a side gate and front handrails. Needless to say we were asked to match the pattern they enjoyed from the first phase of the project.
